1. Campus Network Access Method

 Within the Hohai University, the internet is accessed through the unified authentication method of the SAM authentication billing system, with two access methods of wireless and wired.

 1) Wireless access method

 The name of the wireless network signal is: Hohai University. Access authentication is required accessing to the campus network through this wireless signal.

 2) Wired access method

 The PC or wired terminal can be directly connected to the campus network through the network cable without access authentication.

 When you open the browser and enter any off-campus website (such as http://www.cernet.edu.cn), if the following page appears, it means that you need to log in through the SAM authentication billing system (if it fails to pop up automatically, please manually enter http: //eportal.hhu.edu.cn or 10.96.0.155).

 2. Network service

 Authentication is required accessing to off-campus network resources within campus. Except for free resources in the library, other external network resources will be charged. Currently, there are two ways to surf the internet.

 1) Open campus network SAM authentication billing system account. (It was Drcom before the authentication billing system was updated and now it has been upgraded to SAM). After recharging, users can access off-campus network resources.

 2) Open the account of the network operator 'China Mobile Company'. In the campus dormitory area, users can use the broadband account of the network operator 'China Mobile Company' to access the campus network and the internet resources. The mobile broadband account must be bound to the SAM account for the first time of login.

 3. Instructions for online login authentication

 When logging in to the SAM system login authentication page, except for entering the 'user name' and 'password', it also needs to select the type of the internet service.

 Three currently available methods for surfing the internet:

 1) Campus intranet (campus network account)

 Use the campus network SAM system account (portal account password) to log in, select 'Campus Account Intranet', there is no need to recharge, and then users can access the campus internal network resources, including the free campus and external books and other electronic resources http://lib .hhu.edu.cn/databaselist.html purchased by school.

 2) Campus extranet (campus network account)

 Use the campus network SAM system account, log in after recharging, select the 'Campus Account Extranet' to access the campus internal network resources and off-campus Internet resources.

 3) Campus extranet (for mobile broadband export)

 Users who have opened a China Mobile broadband account shall enter the SAM account name and password for the first time of login, and select the 'Mobile Account Extranet' service, click to log in and bind the mobile broadband account and password to access the campus internal network and off-campus internet resources. And the further login requires to repeat the above-mentioned steps, and there is no need to bind again.
